The BlizzCon Opening Week will be SpeCial!

If you want to be the best, you have to train with the best. That's the rule adopted by Juan “SpeCial” Tena in this season. The Mexican player took an unusual decision and left everything behind to compete in the most cutthroat of all regions: South Korea. Such sacrifice was not in vain, since he managed to qualify in the most prestigious league in the world (GSL) twice this year. At the same time, SpeCial was also pretty close to attaining glory at WCS, competing in two semifinals, and he was the only one who managed to defeat Alex “Neeb” Sunderhaft in a global circuit tournament.

Copa America also witnessed his genius thanks to the exciting rivalry with the Brazilian Diego “Kelazhur” Schwimer. Both are great competitors, and amassed plenty of victories in 2017, ensuring a historical double qualification in the WCS Global Final.

For this reason, BlizzCon will present a special challenge, in which the Mexican player will have the chance of writing his legend in golden letters. His rivals that excelled in this season will be waiting for him: Kim “Stats” Dae, Jun “TY” Tae Yang (GSL and IEM champions, respectively) and the European idol Jens “Snute” Aasgaard, who will try to crush the Latin American player's dreams of making to the throne.

BlizzCon is where legends are born and are forever remembered, and SpeCial wants to shine more than ever to make his long pursued dream come true: Being the best of all.
